Transmission fault ????

Hi All
Was just wondering whether anybody could recommend a garage near me that could check a potential transmission problem out for me ? I have what I think is the start of transmission judder when pulling uphill around 30mph ish . How much are new torque converters ? Do you need to renew the box as well ? Dare I say what sort of money do these things cost ? Any helpful info greatly received. I’m in the Teesside / North Yorkshire area . Thanks

Hi, please have a search First.. here.... there is reading / writing enough regarding this exact same issue

Including links were to buy..

TC refurbished is from 400 quid on, brand new from 600 quid on.. (bristol)
Then the work involved... 4 till 6 hours labour i think...

I did change the TC, added a new changable filter, Metal sump, etc.. new oil and silky smooth again...
Had 160.000 Kilometers on it.. (100K miles that is)

A flush alone can help, but if it is not sufficient, you have to do the oil again... not very cheap stuff...
 Best regards
Harold

You can reduce the ATF cost by buying another ATF than the JLR branded one.. for example Ravenol or Mannol. The latter is constantly on eBay for quite cheap. The price per liter ends up at around 5 eur. Whistle
