Yeah it's a common swimbo fault, you just have to live with it I'm afraid. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Sorry just couldn't resist it, after all it is Friday
There should be a fault logged if you have a diagnostic tool, but if not I'd be checking the gearbox pivot mechanism and also the main body/battery earth straps.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Did cross my mind but dismissed it as I have lubed it a couple of time and my lever is very free and smooth
With it throwing up the engine management light I hope it’s logged a fault, getting plugged in next week
Hope it’s not the box or it’s bye bye time

Good here thanks,
Out of interest if you want me to plug the car in again just ask, Youngest is still in Sheffield so Im often nearby, and always have the IID in the car.
Out of interest have you checked the linkage to the gearbox is OK?Must stop buying shiny toys....
Hi Mate
Did go under Sunday can’t say it was stiff or seized but did give it a good wire brush , spray with easing fluid And grease up with a few wiggles Of the linkage just to rule it out .
I would really appreciate the offer next time your close by be good to see if any thing was logged when my central locking when into meltdown, think I’ve cured that with re splicing the 3 wires in the passenger side wire loom ,seems to have stopped
Don’t really want to swap it as I’ve just had all the suspension bushes done and 4 new tyres
Could you give me shout when your around please
Many thanks
Phil
