Mantec RAI Rivnut
New to the forum, not to the green oval, but with the D3 on the drive the project begins.
Fitting the Mantec RAI, the manual and the wiki manual on here show 7mm drill bit for the rivnut holes, the top hole on the a-pillar is a 7mm, however the rivnuts in the kit are larger than 7mm, on the caliper they have a diameter of 8.86mm.
I can't remember when I fitted my Defender with a Mantic if I had the same issue.
Any ideas or is it simply pop a larfer hole through pillar and wing?
Thanks in advance

Just posted on this today but I was using the factory RAI... use a drillbit similar to the one shown in my post and enlarge the holes to the required size (very little enlargement needed)...
Also fitted mine last week to my D4, for the mantec rai, I used 9mm drill bitsSi

Thanks for the link, great job!
I did think the Mantec instructions were wrong, that along with the parts list included being wrong, the instructions might as well not be in there!

The worst part of the instruction sheet is to tell you to stick the foam pad to the body of the rai, then fit the metal plate. Points 2 & 3
It is the plate that should be fitted first, then the foam pad, otherwise your putting metal to metal. Point 7
