D3 HSE 2006 French - Bluetooth solution

Hi,
Got a French supplied D3 2006 - adapt built in Landrover phone system BUT no cradle or phone. Seems to pair (0000) with my iphone 8 but no audio streaming. On the iphone 8 there is no socket to plug in a 3.5mm jack plug. So been using my BOSE bluetooth headphones BUT just been informed by a friendly Gendarme that headphones while driving are illegal here!!!

Bought a bluetooth dongle from ebay - USB from cigar lighter socket (power) and 3.5mm jack for AUX. Paired without a problem from iphone and whey - streamed brilliantly. All for £7.69! Keeps the Gendarmes happy and allows me to listen to my audio books without a problem.

Anyone still with an old tank like this - it's a solution!

There is a US company that does a very nice module that replaced the rear AUX-in and cigarette lighter with a USB socket, and a bluetooth. This allows you to stream from any BT device the AUX-in.

I had it on my RRS and it worked REALLY well!!
