Disco 3 HSE black seat re-colouring
Hi All
I looking for advice and recommendations on re-colouring the black leather seats in my 2006 Disco 3 HSE.
The drivers seat (photo attached) is the most affected.
Ive been looking on amazon/ebay etc and it looks like you can buy leather colouring balm, however the reviews on most of them are very varied.
Has anyone restored the colour of their Disco seats and if so: 1) what product did you use? 2) any tips on doing it?
Thanks
Steve

Hi All, so i ordered “ Furniture Clinic Leather Recolouring Balm - Black -250ml” from amazon, it came today.. the instructions say to apply with a sponge, leave for 10 minutes, then buff with a dry cloth.. I didn’t feel applying with a sponge would be good, and so i used a small 1/2” paint brush and “painted” the leather with it, using the brush to get in all the creases.. I left it until you could see it was dry (about 20 minutes), then used a cloth to buff the leather..
See the new picture attached, i think its a good result, going to leave it over night then apply leather cream

There are a few threads on leather care. Not sure if they are specifically about re-colouring.

Hi, I used Renovo black leather cream/restorer on mine.
Seemed OK at first, I applied a couple of coats it seemed OK, but then it kind of went back to how it was, so I bought a decent set of front & back heavy duty seat covers and fitted them instead.
My P38 RR had the Lightstone leather interior and the Drivers seat squab had the usual scuffing.
I used a product called Gliptone which refurbished it. Lasted about 12 months or more when I gave it another treatment. It's water based and made in the UK

I recently restored the seats in my TR6 using a product from the Furniture Clinic and they came up like new. Here is a link to their website.
