Clunk from front end of LR3
Hi All
Trying to track down a single clunk from the front passenger side that occurs when reversing up a gradient both in a straight line and turning - sometimes hear it going forward as well
It sounds and feels like something is loose and weight transfer is making something move possibly rotationally
Work I have recently done:
Replaced both front bottom arms - no play in top arms
Replaced both front wheel bearings - these were grinding
Replaced anti roll bar bushes and drop links - preventative maintenance
New track rod arms and track rod ends - preventative maintenance
Replaced passenger side drive shaft boots - they were leaking
Replaced and retorqued the drive shaft nut to the lower torque setting
Rechecked all the various nuts and bolts
Rechecked the diff mounting bolts
Checked the pads for movement in the calipers - all ok
Could it be the drive shaft as it was a right pain to strip down and I wonder if I damaged a bearing cage or the splines when taking it apart
Just looking for any other ideas on other things to consider or check
