Hi anybody know what the tiny sensor thing is just above the aircon pipes between the fbh and the battery?
Also do the folding mirrors stay hot all the time.

Connector with protection cap, for magnetovalve if used with full parkingheater function and layout...

Wrong answer, plug itself is wired differently, although the model plug can be used for it, and since it is a spare, can be rewired for it so i let my explenaition as it is regarding the technology of the valve and can be of somebody’s interest

connecting the electric 3 way valve in this picture (in this picture, the one above the left frontlight);

The webasto unit itself has the capability to work as a full parkingheater, wich means, interior heating and engine heating.
Due to the large capacitiy of cooling fluid, using it as designed, nothing is really warm after the pre programmed 30mins.

So a magnetic valve can be placed in the cooling system, so it wil warm primary the interiour, till approx 60 decgrees celcius water temp and then the engine, so everything is warm and defrosted after 30 min (normally)

Land rover never got it working (the interior warming that is) on the D3, but Webasto did.
Here is the official (translated) Webasto manual:

https://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/us...motopv.pdf

there are also aftermarket solutions, propagated often here, but the webasto IPCU is by far the cheapest option, can be bought online in Germany for about 50 quid, programmed for the LR.

If you include this valve option, were the connector is for, you need to buy this additional.
(Can be bought used, From scrapyards/breakers from Mercedes, BMW, etc.)

This is one from a merc... going into my D3 soon.. with another connector piece! Picture is just to show the magneto valve..

My mistake.. i was too quick..
I just opened the wiringloom in my D3 and indeed it is not what i thought it was.. Embarassed

Since it is the same kind/model connector and the place seemed logic i had that in mind...

Sorry
