You don't need to take the car to them & they have local agents.
I had one on my manual D3, improved performance & fuel consumption, if driven reasonably.

a few diesels om mine In the past were tuned by Martyn from vantuner, a diesel only tuner with very good references in UK and beyond... I had very recently Remapped my TDV6 by Martyn..
I am very very happy with it and far cheaper than many other tuners.. (paid less than the 200 quid on hit site, maybe a returning customer price, but i recon it is not very far off what a new customer pays)
I can only recommended him..
No relationship, only a very satisfied returning customer..
Just ask him. By message, email or phone call... he does do the TDV6
Very nice bloke, and with the postal service, you do not need to be in the neighborhood Either..Best regards

I take it those are estimated values and taken from a dyno.

Estimated ofcourse, as i am from the Netherlands and Martyn from the UK and he did it 2 weeks ago, since traveling in Covid-19 time was not “ allowed” between NL and UK It had to be a postal remap.
I have all the equipment to read and write the LR ECU file, i even did not need te sent the ECU in by post.
Since certain BAS remaps doing the same route but with IID, those are estimates also 😉
Real power data Is dependent on so much variables, engine, engine condition, exhaust, turbo condition, intercooler (std or upgraded or condition of it in the first place), etc. Etc.
But since we tune motorcycle engines on our motorcycle dyno on a weekly basis, i think i have a fair amount of feel for power gains, it is a big leap forward anyway, can recommend it to every TDV6 owner..
Last sunday i had a 500km drive, it did 1liter : 12,6 Kilometers at 95 km/hour On the motorway... On that day atleast..Best regards

I recently spoke to Storm Tuning who said to me
" They wouldn't even entertain messing with the TDV6 engine due to potential issues "
I suggest you speak to Pete Bell at BAS or any of the many D3 & D4 owners who have had their remaps.
I have never heard of a complaint regarding a BAS D3 remap.

I had mine done by Pete Bell at B.A.S in York, not a million miles for you.
Couldn't fault it
Pulled like a train, turning it into the car LR should have rolled off the forecourts.

Well.... we have a dyno ourselves here... if an engine blows on the dyno, almost every customer starts saying it is the fault of the dyno guy.... evenso when their engine is 40 years old, they (customer) did all the work themselves, bought parts in the far east, cheap as hell, etc. Etc. Its always the dyno guy who has to pay....
So in some cases i can understand that certain engines, are avoided by some tuners... not for their basic quality but The potential hassle from certain customers...
If you know your engine is a good one, there is no problem to get it tuned, by a pro, who really knows what he / she does and has a good track record...
You can use site sponsors, you can read experiences and recommendations with them here on this forum, their are also very good others, non site sponsors.. in the end it is your motor and your wallet... Best regards
Harold

I have to admit that when i have had my performance cars remapped on a dyno, i have to go for a walk i cant stand them reving the balls out of the engine it sounds so harsh.
Much better to carry out the testing on somebody elses engine so that they can just install the software on yours
