Discovery 3 V8 wheels + tyre combos |
|
Hi All
I'm currently hunting around for confirmation of options that'll fit. I understand I need 18" wheels to go over the larger rear (eh?) brakes, however the steel wheel option from Terafirma suggests that it'll only go over 320mm disks.
Any help/pointers would be much appreciated.

I am pretty sure the V8 had both larger front and rear discs. I fitted the V8 fronts to my first D3, but didnt swap the rears, but was running 19" alloys at the time.

Alloys or steels?
Ideally I was looking for a set of steels that fit for off roading.

you need a set of TuffAnts! They are designed especially to go over the brakes and are running on other V8s!

its all a bit squiffy really for V8s and some RRS and D4
Fondmetal (although I can't find the details orf them at the moment) and compomotive 18" (PD1881) fit - they have slightly different offset to clear the discs and calipers
Tuffant I suspect do similar
there are some 18" steels around that fit and looking at the specs there are some wolfrace 18"s that might fit too but I've never seen them fitted 05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system
12 RRS SDV6 HSE (Hers) - Gone and replaced with an I Pace - I can tell you now EV is not the future yet

To be fair 18" alloys seem cheap enough to be disposable, so I'll probably just go that route, as I know they'll fit.
