Special Programmes Off
Hi folks, hoping you can help with this one!
So today while overtaking up a hill on a dual carriageway the beloved Disco bong goes off and I get “special programmes off” and suddenly next to no power. Annoying that it happens but also embarrassing when the slow poke I’m over taking crawls past me on the inside as I coast to the hard shoulder!
The suspension stayed up and a short pause and engine re-start seemed to clear it until I got an “engine fault” message on the dash.
A few restarts later and I made it home and got the following fault codes from the IID. From a trawl of the forum it seems it could be my turbo actuator sticking perhaps? But the codes suggest an issue with cylinders 5&6 too/instead.
Any advice/places to investigate appreciated before I start trying to freeze up the turbo actuator for no reason.
Thanks

I’m not sure if I’ve posted this in the right thread so please feel free to move if necessary.
Thanks

Can you post the codes? You can observe the injector performance in "live values". However in the absence of more info, when was the fuel filter last changed?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Hmm you could try a few bottles of injector cleaner and see if it helps, but it looks to me like you may well have injector issues. Check "live values" injector balance and see what is actually happening.
Its easy to check the operation of the turbo actuator by removing the heat shield from inside the n/s/f wheel arch.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I’d check your air intake pipe to the turbo for unregistered air entering, it won’t cost you to check I had same fault codes mention but my turbo was new. Just a thought also check the throttle body with soapy water For leaks won’t hurtMetal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes, pads, callipers, flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)

I’ve finally got round to looking at the live values and updating the thread. Could anyone confirm that as I suspect injector 6 needs replacing?

No' 6 is too low alright, you could try swapping it with round another and see what the diagnostics show up then.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
