Caravan clubs
Just to let you know, caravan and motorhome club sites all closed until the 30th June and camping and caravanning club sites closed until further notice.

Certainly agree Russell.
The surprising thing is the Caravan and Motorhome Club actually announcing the 30th June as the reopening date, would have thought a until further notice would have been better as the Camping and Caravanning club have done.

If they’re closed until 30th June (a good move) at least, will there be a refund of at least 25% of the subscription fee accordingly? Hmmm, thought not.

The Freedom Caravan and Camping Club has been hacked and all their files encrypted. They aren’t making any comments on closing. I don’t know what most private sites are doing.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

The clubs will need all the money they can get, so the annual subscriptions would be very important.
Three of the large steam heritage railways are critical and begging for money:
North York Moors
Severn Valley
Gloucester Warwickshire
They're not the only ones, I have no work at all now as the planes are not flying. I have one last job in the early hours of Wednesday morning. I am doing a repat flight thats coming into Gatwick and taking them from there back up to Burnley. That will be my last job for months unless something changes which i doubt The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

We were off to Hayle in Cornwall for 2 weeks in June, our regular 2 week stay on a CL. Not worried about the deposit because I expect the owner will carry it forward towards our next visit, not that i'd ask them. CL owners in my experience are very reasonable to deal with. Will be difficult for them as well this year. On a selfish note we are really going to miss our caravanning this year. We've had 12 years of retirement and during the warmer months spent 2 weeks away then 2 weeks at home, 2 weeks away 2 weeks at home throughout the year. We've been to really great places and met other tintent owners. Different places and different faces. Swimbo has had to deal with the dreaded 'C' during this time although she has been clear for 6 years. Just hope this virus doesn't bring an end to our hobby.

Interesting to note CAMHC have closed club sites and CLs, C&CC make no mention of CS in their closure notice.==================================

My apologies! One of the problems with digital responses is that you can’t express the true meaning at times. With hindsight, it does look in bad taste, which I assure you it wasn’t meant to be. I am a long standing member of both Clubs and have a close working (when I’m allowed to!) relationship with them.
Here’s to better times eh?
