Another fuel burning heater question I cant find the answer |
|
Was having issues with fuel burning heater. Ive just fitted a new fuel pump for the heater. Bought the leads and connected to lap top up and after a bit of faffing i managed to get the heater to run at full burn and left it to run for 20 mins so it had had a good run. All good, or so it seemed. This morning was the first morning cold enough to allow the fbh to start on its own. So i went out to it first thing. Temp in car showimg 1 degree, fuel tank between 1/4 and 1/2 tank, cold engine from over night, Heater on auto set to 24 degrees and law and behold fbh would not start. Wifes gone to work in it so havent had chance to plug it in yet. Any ideas before i plug it in just for the heads up factor? Cheers

Just guessing here, but whilst you may have cleared the fbh internal faults so it works on its own, if the faults are also stored in the car, then it will not tell the heater to fire up?
