MY 16 halogen headlights
Good evening all, I’ve currently borrowed one of my colleagues my16 disco 4 with halogen headlights. All the others in he fleet have xenon. My word they are terrible! Is there any way other than a headlight swap to make them better? Do HI2R led headlanp bulbs such as those from Phillips at £80 actually work? . Was appalled at how bad they were on wet dark roads last night [/list]
The Xenon ones are not much better, preferred the ones pre facelift which I had on the MY13.

Rubbish. The MY16 lights are perfectly fine, maybe not quite as good as the earlier ones though.

Just throwing this out there but I have a set of Halogen D4 2016 headlights that I'd loooove to get shot of so I can upgrade to the Xenons...

The point was that there is no comparison between the Halogens and Xenons. It’s loke night and day 🤭

^ you have the xenons if you have got the drl lines around the light. Unless some has swapped them out you about 100% guaranteed to have xenons on a graphite.
Only bog standard commercials and GS/ SE models in the MY14 facelift models were unfortunate enough to get the dire halogen units - the worst output of all D3/4 models Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

My MY16 D4 headlights are bright enough but the throw on them does not give a view of the road far enough ahead, in my opinion. This is especially apparent on quiet, unlit motorways travelling at 70mph.
Is there anything I can do about it? There is no adjustment upwards to increase the throw as far as I can tell. Full beam is fine though.
Adding that I believe I have xenons as I have the DRL light band around the bottom of the headlight
Any suggestions?
