Access Mode

For those without steps,do you park and leave it in access mode to make getting in and out easier? What about young children getting in and out of the rear?

My new to me D3 does not have steps and I have a young daughter that will need to have fairly regular access to either front or back seats.

if its just me I slide out but do feel not doing the drivers seat any favours, if I have the kids, access mode.

I quite often drop the suspension as I pull onto the drive. Just about enough time for it to get fully down by the time I stop. Makes it easier for the kids to get out (and in the next time)

Virtually always lower it when coming in to park; it provides a more dignified entry and exit and helps to protect my dog's joints as he gets in and out of the back.

I have a set of new steps, but I've never bothered to fit them!

I step out in normal mode. Tall, long legged Censored that I am. Access mode to let the dogs in/out of the boot or getting my parents in the car (not the boot). Otherwise it stays in normal. My girlfriend is 'forced' to climb in Rolling with laughter Oh, and access mode for the ferry, so that the fare's cheaper!

Always drop it to access when I stop

Makes it a bit harder for spare wheel thieves as well

Only drop it to wash it, or if the guy on the toll bridge argues that it's to tall to cross in higher winds...

Always access mode, drop it whilst pulling up to park so it's down when everybody bomb bursts out of it the second it stops.

Access Mode for the wife but the kids can climb!

"Oh, and access mode for the ferry, so that the fare's cheaper!" is this true as I must look now that I have a car with LPG I can't use the train.

I do just the opposite, put it into off-road height so the side steps give a bit of protection from the antics of any neighboring car users.
I get a bit of stick from my good lady, but this one is my car Wink
