Alternator Issue D4 2010
Couple of weeks ago charging system warning on dash and error code P065A-00 read on IID, no output from alternator when measured across battery. I have changed the alternator out today and the warning still lights up after a few seconds. However when the engine is revved the battery light goes out. When the revs drop after a couple of seconds the battery light and warning re appears. This wasn't the case before I changed the alternator.
Before I book into the garage on Monday is there anything I may have missed or could check

I’d check the battery voltage before starting and then when running, your battery may be depleted as the alternator hasn’t been charging correctly, also not sure if it’s still possible with the technology on these but in the past I’ve heard of duff battery cells damaging alternators

Tried a replacement battery that was fully charged. Voltage before connecting is 12.6v when the car is started the voltage drops and doesn't rise

did you reset the batt monitoring system ?also a new alt and fully charged batt i wouldn't expect to see a charge at idle, mine often shows 12.6 at start up with a new batt as its supposed to work this way but don't get batt light
try a search as i seem to recall a similar problem to this
also check the 5amp fuse not sure what number it isplease excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

All sorted, ordered a replacement alternator which was a denso. While fitting noticed that the small cable on the back was not right. The cable was corroded. Cleaned up and all now working.
Not sure if it was the alternator or the cable
