Hi All,
I'm intending to buy a bullbar (and winch and snorkel) for my D3. Here in Brisbane it seems to be a choice between ARB and TJM. They both claim to be airbag compatible and to accomodate a winch (I assume the brand they sell). Does anyone have any info or preferences for or against either one?
Hope someone can help.

I've fitted an ARB and have a milemarker hydraulic winch fitted.
I think you will find a lot of winches are the same bolt pattern

John,
ARB bull bar as at the time it was all that was available, and have a T Max winch. All very happy with.
I have seen the TJM bar and it looks quite good too.
Most winches will fit these bars.

I have an ARB fitted with a Warn 9000. 2 years this was all that was available. All my previous Discos have had TJM steel bars.
TJM bars are easier to clean due to the round tube uprights. The ARB bar (I have Hella 4000s fitted) is not as easy to cleen and I have skinned my knunkles a couple of times.
Both will do the duty.
I have always colour coded my bars to match the Discos, small extra for great result. 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

I too am interested in which bar is recommended by folks.........Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can offer.
Another question along this subject. Does anyone feel the added weight on the front of the discovery makes much of a difference? I had a discussion with one of the local bullbar manufacturers last week and he said yes it would as the bar alone is about 80KG hanging that far in front of the wheels.
I appreciate that there is a balance between safety and handling...............Most of my mileage is on country roads through farmland and some dirt track to our place, so there is plenty of wildlife. On the other hand, I do a fair bit of this country mileage through the Otways which has it's fair share of curves!

Rember a ute load of plastic c  p has to be removed to fit the bar, the net weight increase is not as much as one would think. Add a winch and that adds to it, but I think it would still be less than two overweight persons siting in the front 
My personal view is it does not make a noticeable difference and with the self leveling suspension the ride hight will not change.

Hi All,
I must admit that I went straight to ARB as I have had them fitted in the past.
As previously advised, they removed a "heap" of stuff before fitting the bar.
My car is a coil-sprung model, & the bar is not a winch bar (as it would have taken too long to become available) but is the full "Deluxe" steel bar. I have not seen any change in the ride height.
Very pleased with the setup,
