Webasto Top Tip - Summer time pulse-jet howl |
|
For those of us with Webasto timers fitted, Webasto recommend that the heater be run every couple of months or so through the summer months to work the pumps and seals and burn off the stale fuel sat in the unit. This should help ensure the injector stays clear and the unit is ready to fire up when it gets cold.
For those of you without the timer option, find a trucker friend who'd let you put your D3 in their refrigerated rig every 8 weeks, or alternatively save up some TFC tokens and get a timer fitted Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

I'm happy for the insane bump, I've never seen that video before. Proper thumbs up to the MacGyver engineering on that crazy thing!

Right, which one of you lovely can help me, I have a 57, HSE with the heater, but cannot find out for the love of me where to get a timer, of who will fit it.
I spoke to a heater bloke who said he is not allowed to touch them as it would risk his partnership with Webasto, as Webasto have a tie up with Land Rover, so spoke to Land Rover (Ashford, Kent) who are stumped!
Graham at Land Rover is on it for me but ANY help from you motley crew would make for a very happy chap!
