I believe you need some bits in the wheel arches to pick up the signal so probably more wiring too let alone software.

We are trialing one at the minute, it works on RF signal, it has no extra wiring ouside the unit that is mounted in the cabin. They seem to be very accurate and we havent had any problems.
Does this system use the transmitters that are inside the rim? How are they fixed - valve hole or hose clamp to rim?
Also up to how many tyres can be sensed at once (I'd prefer 6 - 4 on tow vehicle and 2 on trailer).
Thanks

all the wiring is there on 07MY and beyond, an Autologic equipped workshop can enable it once all the hardware is added

Hello again Chris,
Yes, its transmitts from inside the tyre. You need to remove the tyre from the rim (atleast the outer bead) and install the unit using the supplied valve through the existing valve hole.
You can monitor up to 5 tyres on this system, I have asked the question, Can we upgrade to monitor trailer tyes and spares also??
Still waiting on an answer.

Mitchelbros4x4, I think you had better read the commercial posting rules Here.

Where does info about tyre pressure show up? On multimedia display?

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
I bought a cheap TPMS from ebay about 18 months ago for $99 AUD ($33 now) which does only 4 wheels with a screw on sensor to the external valve stem with an anti theft locknut. It measures pressure and temperature via bluetooth to a solar powered display with adjustable alarms. It just sits on my dash or middle parcel tray and is rechargeable via USB as well. Works well, just a bit of extra work when going to the beach as you need to remove the sensors to drop your tyre pressures.Mal

I stuck the ARB one in the corner on an extension socket wired into the car with a 2amp circuit breaker.
Removing the external sensors is a bit of a pain but after half a dozens goes at it you get pretty proficient. I take all 4 off, air up or down, then the 4 sensors back on.
You do need 2 spares in the outback so 4 external sensors is the simplest solution for swapping wheels.Visitor - Freelander owner

Neat setup. My TPMS just floats between the centre console and the dash top to recharge.
