Discovery 3 Headlight upgrade |
|
Hi,
Apologies in advanced if this post has already been done, just cant find it anywhere.
I have a Disco 3 2007 with non xenon Headlights.
My question - Can I buy the Xenon version of the Disco 3 headlights and just "plug in and play", or is there a lot more to it?
Thanks!

Hi Blake and welcome
I think you might need to be more generic in your search - e..g just search for Xenon where you find a lot of threads of what to do for the upgrade.
In a nutshell you *might* need to get the car config file (ccf) updated so the D3 knows to give the lights more juice to work.
You might be lucky and its already set in which case its plug and play Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

if it has already been upgraded but is running std halogen lamps you can usially tell... They blow with annoying regularity.
If you fit Xenons and they flicker a lot on satrt up.. it needs flashed.
If you intend to keep your Disco... But an IID GAP tool. it is THE best money you will spend! 1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

Well I have only had it a few weeks now and they haven't blown......yet
Ye i have been looking at getting one of them also.
Does it matter if they flicker?? as long as no warning lights come up think the flicker wouldn't bother me.
Cheers

You will need headlamp washers for the mot! or keep the old ones for the mot It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
