Compressor Help!
Yesterday I towed a trailer with a 90 on the back about 20 miles and then the empty trailer 20 miles back, and since then my compressor won't work. If I try and raise or lower the vehicle I get the message "vehicle will raise when system cools".
I have no knowledge of the compressor at all so where should I start?!
IIDTool brings up no related faults and the back end is sat low.

You will have to use the IID to see live data on the compressor sensors, ie pressure/temperature etc.

It could be that your compressor is old and or you have a leak in the system. During the journey the Disco will of been self levelling and using air from the tank that obviously needs to be replaced. The extra weight of the Defender may of killed it.

The compressor is just over 12 months old apparently, but knowing the garage I bought my D4 from it was probably £4.99 tenth hand off eBay

A little update 24 hours later! I checked there was 12v going to the compressor, which there was. It was too dark to look for leaks.
When I connected the power back to the compressor it started running quietly and slowly, then had the overheat message again, and then compressor would run again. This happened about 3 times until I was just left with the “suspension will raise when system is cool”.
The back end is up a lot closer to where it should be now.

have you got a hole in the air tank, so the compressor is constantly trying to run?

The compressor only runs for about 20 seconds before it says it's too hot. I will check for a leak but I'm starting to think a new compressor is needed.
