One strut replacement vs both

So I took my 2005 in for a tire rotation and balance and an alignment after replacing two worn out front half shafts and the tire guy poked a hole in my left (driver's) rear bag.
They are replacing the whole strut at their cost on the left only, should
I replace the right rear strut as they have supposedly replaced the strut in whole not just the bag.

If so how urgent is this (replacing the Right Rear strut)?
I plan on gathering up all of the remaining (3) struts in the coming months and replacing them, but if needed should I replace the right side ASAP to relieve any stress on the other strut?

I think they screwed up and over extended the strut assembly when they put it on a lift and simply exposed a bellows covered leak as mentioned in another post. So it follows that the other rear may also have an issue if it goes into extended lift mode if I ground it somewhere.
Well I get a new strut for free anyway, so it would be less painful for me to get a new rear strut on the other side. Trying to stay ahead of the problem.

Years ago I replaced all 4 on my D3.

I bought the parts from Arnott Air Suspension Products in Florida. Much less expensive than the JLR cost & excellent quality.

Yes - I would replace 2 or 4 at a go.

I would do both sides at the same time but don’t have a very scientific reason beyond “the other is old” Whistle

Must admit I done both sides as I thought that as well with the old one being original and bound to go a short time after anyway

That's what I figured. I will need to delay until next week (Payday) and purchase at least one rear for the pair replacement ASAP.
I think son I will have replaced al moving parts on the vehicle. Well it keeps me out of the bars I guess!
Thanks for the input and the lead on purchasing.
As always thanks for the quick response.

My front nearside strut was fading badly and and my Indy replaced just that one and I drove around for a short while with one new one old until he got the second one in. Yes you can drive with one new one old but the drive was shocking even for those few days. Replace each axle as a pair. Within a month or two we replaced both rear aswell. Well worth doing if the mileage is high.
