Finally sorted the car out. I bought a new lead from LR spares and it was collected Friday. Fitting wasn't as straight forward as I thought. Mine had snapped in the same place as Ethanicus had. The new one bolted straight on to the body and chassis but there is absolutely no room to bolt it back to the engine. Access is just not available. I ended up bending the cable to follow a different route and bolted it back to the engine under the alternator. All finished after 3 hrs, I also put new front Brembo discs and pads on which I bought just before Xmas.Some mistakes are to good to only make once.

For those who are experiencing the same problem, follow the harness number LR024287, it is positioned on the front right wheel, behind the wheel housing finish.
