Wheel bearings
Looking at replacing my wheel bearings. Car (56 plate D3) does around 5k road miles a year.
I know many on here would say Timken but is there anything else mid price range (Timken around £135 per wheel - fleabay cheap stuff £35 per wheel) that people have used themselves and would recommend.
Looking at some of the online car parts sites there are a lot of options out there that come with 2-5 years warranty.

I originally went for the cheap ebay ones, with a supposidly 12month warranty (yeah right, try trying to claim on that)
Needless to say they failed!...one spectacularly whilst drivng along at 60mph I replace dwith one of these from advanced factors
https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/lr014147...2008-p.asp
Quality is like night and day...
Currently have the disco on ramps removing cv joints and diff and yep you guessed it the other ebay one has had it too...absolute Cr*p.
So even though it may hurt your pocket...go for advanced factors lower end one..it will still be MILES better than an ebay one and the warranty will actually mean something!

Many thanks for everyones advice. Ended up going for the ones form Advanced Factors costing around £180 for the pair. Of course there is always a drama - one of the bearings was actually buckled. must have been thrown around in transit.
But did a 250 mile round trip. Going was brilliant, handled totally differently. Coming back a different story - warning light (ABS) kept on coming on around roundabouts. Had it before. oh and unbeknown to me my diesel sprung a leak!. Wasted nearly half a tank!
Garage sorted leak out and warning light hasnt come back on.
