Rear (Right) suspension problem

Hello,

Instead of visiting an official dealer I am thinking of letting a local garage fix my problem as this saves me a lot of driving and costs. I wonder what you guys think about this as I am not too sure about it.

The problem is that the right rear suspension leaks air. My plan is to buy an aerosus rear suspension bag for €179 and let it replace by a local garage. I spotted the leak by letting one door open through the night. The next day you could see it being sagged there.

cheers Lars from portugal[/code]

Replace the whole unit (air bag and shock) not just the airbag. Its easier and quicker to change.

Dampers should really be replaced in pairs, so personally I'd be doing both rears.
They wear over time, and damping effect should be even across axles to avoid inbalance in both suspension and braking.

Thanks.. but as it also costs €200 more per piece, really necessary? The hourly wage isn’t that much here so if it takes like 5 more Hours it’s cheaper for me to do only replace the bags.
