Is 50litre compressor big enough for wheel changes?
I am looking at getting a compressor and impact wrench for swapping wheels on my MY12.
Would a 50litre tank be sufficient please?
I am looking at the SGS branded ones, unless anyone has other recommendations?
Many thanks

More than enough.
I used to have a 50 litre compressor, but now have a 25. Unless you are going to re-spray a car, 25 litre is fine.Richard

I have a Dewalt 18v impact wrench. It’s more than adequate and does away with the need for compressor or wires.

Agree. I have a Ryobi impact driver and it works a treat. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)
New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!) Sold
Sold Volvo XC90 R-Design (known as Basil)
Sold - D4 HSE (Known as Gerty)
No longer the Old Buses original owner
231,000 miles and counting
05 S manual owned from March 2005
D4 Face lifted
Still original injectors and turbo
V8 Front brakes
BAS Remap, Allisport Intercooler and deCat
EGRs blanked
T-Max split charge
Hanibal Expeedition rack
Prospeed ladder
Duratrac tyres
IID BT
BAS FBH control
Again, I wouldn’t run an pneumatic impact wrench now, DeWalt, Makita and many others offer easier alternatives.

Another plus one for the dewalt impact 👍 haven't found a bolt yet that it can't free off 💪only downside is its slightly on the heavy side.. Fine for changing wheels but if your under vehicle holding it with one arm it bloody feels heavy!! 🙈

If you only want to run a impact gun just get a decent 18v plus one and don't annoy your people.
Also can use when out and about not just at home

Many thanks for the replies, clearly the 18v impact wrenches are the favourites!
As I don’t have any tools running 18v batteries, it becomes quite an expensive exercise to buy into the kits with batteries and charger.
I do like the point about taking it with me though.
