I bought myself a rather lovely Discovery 3 last weekend, with the intention of turning it into an expedition-ish vehicle.
I’ve got loads of Land Rover experience having owned a Defender for ages, and I had a great mechanic near Hitchin that I deferred to in all matters. However, he doesn’t get involved with modern, tech-heavy vehicles, and I won’t be able to use him on this project.
Where are the best independent Land Rover specialists within a reasonable distance from here, that I could use on an ongoing basis? The vehicle has a massive service history from a place in Dunmow, but it’s a tad too far, and I’d ideally like something substantially closer.
Thanks in advance. Apologies if this wasn’t the correct place to post this too!Propelled across the land in a carriage of no horse drawn, belching Satan’s black wind into our clean and local air.

Hi Godlykepower and welcome to the joys of Disco ownership
I use G & G Automotive in Ware and can thoroughly recommend them, they have looked after my car for a number of years and always appear to know exactly what they're doing without charging silly prices
PS I have no association with G & G other than as a satisfied customer.Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH

G+G are good (Ziggy from memory) is an ex JLR mechanic who owns it. Or you could try Alymer Motors in Potters Bar. Ask for Martin, they did a lot for me if Geoff wasn't around. Pretty sure Ziggy worked for Alymer Motors until he set up on his own. May be wrong !James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

I bought my D3 from them and they have sorted the few problems I have had with it, either under warranty or at very reasonable rates. They also service my Fathers LR collection, he's down the road in Shefford.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)
