Built in frost warning maybe The End

Sorry if this has already been raised. Not seen it anyway.
While tabbing up the M40 tonite, heard the bong. But, no suspension light ?? . couldn't see anything obvious so ignorded it, than 5 mins later, another bong, then another bong ..
Started to think I'd picked up a hickhiker ..
Then nothing for a while, then it started againg after the Stratford turn off..
THEN .. I noticed that the EXT by the external temp guage had turned into a *.
Then another bong..
So, adding all this up, when the temp goes to 4C or below, I guess the ice warning is another bong, and when it hovers about the pinch point, .. bong city ..
I guess once is enough for a possible iffy road condition, but every time hits the nerve .. any fix out there ? ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

Like the trip computer, I think it is inaccurate.
The D3 was saying it was 2 degs, RNAS Yeovilton said it was 5.
For those further east, temperature is rising again here now.........above the snowflakey bong level.

The temp sensor is just behind the front grill so a certain amount of 'wind chill' is bound to affect it The End

Turn the stereo up!
Personally it doesn't bother me, reassures me that things are still working. I can see how it would bother people though The End
