I just had a reply:
"Hi Phil,
Thank you for getting in touch. Yes we are trying to gather as much information as we can from Discovery owners to present to Land Rover. We are also looking to pull a stunt to together to represent the scale of the issue, by inviting as many owners as possible to Greater Manchester (specific location tbc) on Wednesday early evening to film in time for BBC Watchdog on Thursday.
If this is something you’d be interested in joining please do let me know.
Kind Regards,
Anna"
Sadly I cant make it (work), but if I was more local I would be there.

Had the same reply.
Not feasible from Bath. I have suggested perhaps the local BBC areas could arrange some local meeting points.MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

Won't just be D3/D4s, will be Range Rovers, Jags, Disco 5 etc.
Will be interesting to see if much comes of it. If they are only going to give people a couple of days notice, i can't see it looking anything much more than a few disgruntled LR owners moaning.
Would need some hard figures or a few companies like Oval Autos going on showing how many they get a year.

+1 Although I wouldn't say 'should', more like 'could' if JLR don't do the right thing.

Also, as I've said before, if this becomes an acknowledged manufacturing defect, and LR don't stand up and guarantee to cover engines that go bang in future, the warranties so many of us have mostly to hopefully cover exactly this incident will be rendered useless.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

But if the JLR engines have a better record than most manufacturers then this could be fantastic news for JLR. It will give them a chance to say we have x cars in 1000 that this happens to yet Ford, BMW, Audi or Mercedes have 2x cars in 1000 affected. At that point why should they do anything for anyone?DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
