Oddball early D4 or just a New Zealand spec
Hi Guys,
Looking at a 2009 / 2010 D4. It's definitely a D4 - later dash, push button start, round steering wheel controls etc.
Chassis number is SALLAAA13AA525272
Engine number is given as 0416265276DT
It was first reg here in NZ on 25th Jan 2010 so given shipping it must have been made Sept / Oct 2009 making it very early in the D4 run.
It's also listed as having the 2.7Tdv6.
Spec seems odd - see pic
Is the centre info screen too small???
If it does indeed have the 2.7 engine - will it still have the same crank and oil pump issues? I have already had one D3 break a crankshaft on me and don't fancy another.
Or being the very end of the 2.7 engine run, had they got the issues sorted by then?
What other changes were made from 3 to 4 and will this have them?
Is it a Disco3.5 maybe?
Lastly - I note the number plate it had back in 2010 was TDV6 so it might have been a NZ dealer demonstrator vehicle.
Any thoughts?
Cheers, Matt

Some of the early D4 had the 2.7 engines. Crank issues are across both 2.7 and 3.0 as for the oil pump it should be fine.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

That’s the low line entertainment system, so very basic. You can see the control panel under the screen is a load of buttons and not the 2 rotary knobs and 5 or so buttons of the high line.

I see! Thank you. Does that mean no screen display for wheel angles, suspension etc.?

Some specs didn’t have low range either with a simpler lower console layout, can’t make out from the photo but that one looks different.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
