Hydraulic tyre/wheel lifter - any good?

Having wrestled with deadlifting D4 wheels and tyres onto the vehicle everytime I want to swap to my off-road tyres I thought "Surely there's a device to lift and manoeuvre the wheel whilst I'm clowning about getting the wheel nuts lined up?"

Sure enough I found such a thing called a Hydraulic Dolly/Lifter like this ==> eBay Item No. 263736069183

Does anyone have any experience of using these? Will I be wasting my time and should I just man-up?

Cheers.

Those are really for moving whole cars, but if could work for your wheel changing purpose. Thumbs Up

Always fancied a set of these to move my cars when they park in front of my house...

So I bought one - works a treat - saved a lot of swearing and time trying to align the wheel on the studs in such a way that the nuts actually bite onto the thread - which is handy when doing all 4 wheels regularly.

This one isn't hydraulic, it uses a ratchet/rack mechanism much like a hi-lift jack only horizontal - the steps between clicks on the ratchet are sufficiently small to allow fine adjustment to get the studs and holes lined up with one hand.
