Facelift options for 2011 disco 4
Hi. I currently have a 2011 disco 4 landmark le. I’m interested in facelifting parts of it, budget unfortunately limits doing it all so I’m doing it in bits as I can afford it.
The things i’d Really like to change are the grille and the lights to start with but i’d Have to buy the grille now and lights later.
I see powerfuluk offer the facelift grille that fits the 2011 bumper which seams quite reasonable whoever if I later upgrade the lights to a my14 xenon light are the lights a different shape? This would then mean i’d Have to upgrade the grille again which would just be a waste of money.
Has anyone done this in stages like this and if so do you have pics and who did you buy the parts from?
Original xenon drl lights would be too expensive so I am happy for non originals.
Any advise gratefully received.
Many thanks
Scott

Lights are a different shape.
You'd be better off changing lights and grill together, then doing the bumper when funds allow. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails

Thanks Narpy, unfortunately I figured that might be the case.
Can anyone recommend a good place to buy some my14 style look xenon / drl looking lights. It's the DRL feature i miss moving over to the land rover so i'd like this drl option look.

powerful is the only place I've really found and they have options that are not ridiculously priced but having never used them i was wondering if they came recommended on here.
Its not the xenon bit I'm really worried about but i do want the drl signature bit and im unsure if they come in the halogen option?

That is a particular bargain, those lights normally retail for much more and there's a grill too. Mods:

Just been researching what’s available and it’s a mine field out there.
So just to be clear for any one that’s knows. The only headlights that come with the bright drl signature strip are the xenon options, everything else advertised that comes from a my14 and upwards but has the halogen lights just has the led Christmas lights and not the drl lights?
Sorry, so confused by these lights, I’d have thought anything post 2014 would have had a drl light built into them regardless if they where xenon or halogen

Hi Wasson,
its an upgrade I've done so here is the low down 8) Here's mine on the old bumper
1. As Narpy recommends: get the lights and grille first, the bumper can follow for the full effect
2. MY14 Lights mainly 2 flavours - Halogen = no DRL, Xenon = DRL . .Xenons come in different varients too e.g. AFS, Cornering etc so some are better than others but the reseller never knows this
3. If you have halogen now you will need a CCF update the D4 computer to give lights extra power otherwise they won't work
4. Any yes go for it - they look so much nicer (but aren't as bright)
5. For main beam flash to work when dipped beam off you'll need a relay mod to open the shutter
Lots and lots of topics on this via the search option above

That’s great, really appreciate all the info on here guys. I sold a VW Transporter that I’d converted after much help from the t5 forum so it’s great to know there is just as much passion and help on this forum
Ok, noted on all and thanks for the picture, it really does make the front end look so much better.
Will keep you all posted on progress.

Put three offers in only to find out at the last minute they where halogen and not xenon or drl. Thought it was too good to be true.
