D3 cleaned today

Hi

Wished to say a massive thks to LR Taylor , AKA Dave for kindly coming round today and cleaning the D3 for me , all for cups of tea

Had some bad scratches which were removed with expertise , even after a clay bar was used on the disco could feel the difference

A real credit and can’t even begin to say how much I appreciate , thks so much once again Dave Bow down Bow down

Also because of my back he wouldn’t allow me to do a thing but make the tea, just a true gent who I’m very grateful to Bow down

End result

Dave also taught me a lot about clay bars, waxes, polishes etc , something like that is so invaluable

Didn’t even know my paintwork was metallic

Will be doing the bumpers , trim etc next week

Ur not wrong there as indeed a real gent and such a nice bloke to do all that work

Am chuffed to bits with it and couldn’t get over the difference with the paintwork after Dave used a clay

At least I can start getting a few bits to keep the paint looking decent after all that hard work

Will then invest in a DA polisher , don’t need anything expensive

Something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DAS-6-PRO-Dual-...0008.m2219

Will buy one of those snow lances , can see now why u guys also use them Thumbs Up

You definitely want to make installing front fogs your next mod. It's very easy and not stupidly expensive to do with genuine parts. Thumbs Up
 Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

Hi Narpy

Many thks , Have got the other front bumper that has the fog light and pdc holes in it

So indeed will do that , have got a new AC condenser that I wish to fit so think that would be an ideal time to remove the bumper , fit the condenser then fit the new bumper

Did have a look at a few threads of what it’s like to fit the new condenser , also bought new stainless steel bolts and a new set of green O rings

Wondering if I have to use a special lubricant when installing the O rings

Bumper is still round my dads so need to have a good look if anything needs doing to it and what I need , ie new fog lights and surrounds , pdc loom , both the pdc and fog light connectors are behind my drivers headlight

Just thought I’ll also have to get another light switch with the AUTO on it as I think that’s the one which has the front fog light switch

Thks as always Thumbs Up
