Blind Spot Monitor Fault

Well... took D4 in for service / MOT / TPMS fault......all done as per TPMS thread.

Also reported intermittent "Blind Spot Monitor System not available" warning.
Diagnostics ran , showed "Internal failure" re-calibrated, and customer to test..

Fault showed on the way home, but clear next day, until yesterday ( including towing caravan ).
...Yesterday home from work..(2 weeks later)....
First 8 miles, warning flashing on / off every 2 seconds !
Next 10 miles permanent fault, and on straight away this morning.

In to dealer for diagnostic and road test.......
Fitter said it went straight into fault as soon as he selected "Drive", glad it's no longer intermittent.
..."SODR Internal Failure" (Side Object Detection Right).

Read report sheet which advises test drive of at least 40 miles after re-calibration,
which explains the "Customer test" part of the process.

Booked in for new module to be fitted next week F.O.C. under warranty.

Switched off "Blind spot " system on dash menu for now, no warnings, yippee Very Happy
