SatNav - POIs

Just a heads up for peeps who aren’t aware of the advantages of installing POIs on 13MY> SatNav particularly at this time of year:
There are hundreds if not thousands of Points of Interest available free at pocketgpsworld.com that cover world wide not just UK destinations, from fuel stations, supermarkets, museums, garages etc, etc,the list is endless, speed cameras have a £20 annual charge but if you register a unknown camera it is free.
The POIs are simply down loaded onto a usb memory stick in Garmin-other GPX format and then uploaded into the SatNav, they can quickly be set to display or not with or without an alarm when approaching, they display on the SatNav with a choice of built in icons or most have their own icon in a BMP file included in the down load.
There is another listing(MY13-adding MYPOIs sticky) on the subject with more info.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Not sure what fornat is required for the disco but there has to be better tones than the ice cream van tune thats currenly in the sat nav Laughing Thumbs Up

Mercedes GPX does not work for some unknown reason, download Garmin CSV, go to www.poieditor.com and covert the files to Garmin GPX, the files must end .GPX, save the files along with the relavant BMP files, the GPX and corresponding BMP file must be exactly the same, edit as necessary.
Garmin GPX-other files applies to speed cameras Thumbs Up
