Rear Wiper Problem - stuck halfway |
|
I’m having the ‘stuck in the middle’ issue, accompanied by a whiny grinding noise. I replaced the wiper arm a few months ago.
The nut to secure the arm goes on fine so far, then is really hard to turn, before freeing up slightly.
If I remove the wiper arm, the spindle moves fine without any issues or noises.
Any thoughts?

I don't think so - it felt metally when I put it on.

It was. It worked fine for a good few weeks, then started to get slower before struggling to get past halfway. Eventually, it stuck in the vertical for quite some time, before resuming. Shortly after that, it wouldn't go past vertical and just stopped with the accompanying noise.

I had the same problem. I replaced the wiper motor and that solved the problem.

I'm getting my Indy to source the motor for me. I'll do the swap myself (under supervision).
