D3 wheel on a D4?
Hello,
Is anyone able to confirm whether older D3 HSE 19 inch wheels (on the rims page they're marked as "Pre-09 HSE alloys") will fit ok on a D4?
I think I've read the entire D3 wheels topic but not quite found the answer - I want to use them to get a 255/55R19 Grabber AT3 onto the Discovery 4 for laning/expeditions - so I don't damage the factory-standard 20 inch rims.
Thanks in advance

if It turns out they are compatible, I have a set of four for sale in the For Sale section. Cheap at £160 for the set. Three are decent, one has flaky paint but they are all sound and no cracks or major curbs etc.
They would look great with some home DIY repainting.2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

I've just had another thought - will the D4 wheel nuts that hold the current 20" wheels on work ok on the older 19" wheels?
Cheers

Original D3, 4 and 5 wheel nuts are identical. The size of the wheel is immaterial unless it’s non LR.

Yes, the nuts will fit.
As an aside, you can also fit the TPMS valves to all of the D3 19" rims.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

And as a further aside all D3 rims will fit some D4s, indeed some D4s came with 17”ers as standard. And a manual gearbox if my memory serves me correctly.

I remember the early 2.7L D4’s. Didn’t think any were manual though.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

And Commercial. ISTR seeing all 3 “oddities” (17”, manual & commercial) on a 2.7 “car” just after launch when mine was in for some TLC at a dealer.

LR must have had a few manual boxes to use up.
Could you still buy a manual D3 Commercial right up to the end of D3 production?2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Oh... mine is a 2012 HSE... I don't even know if it has TPMS?
