richslaney - My new 2006 TDV6 HSE has arrived. |
|
Hey,
Took delivery of my new 2006 spec TDV6 HSE in Zambezi Silver and Ebony Leather on Friday.
I went mad with the options list and fitted all the factory options. Full HSE Spec plus following options: Active rear locking diff, Lower Centre Console Cool Box, PTI System Phone with Bluetooth, Rear Air Con, Adaptive Front Headlights, Privacy Glass to B-Post, Tow Pack, Body Side Mouldings, Side Protection Tubes in Stainless Steel, Lockable Roof Crossbars. Front / Middle / Rear Rubber Mats, Stainless Steel Interior Door Sill protection trim.
+ A-Glaze interior and Exterior treatment......
And it looks and drives beautiful.....It pulls really strongly and the performance has suprised me for a huge truck of a car. The auto box is smooth as silk and the whole car is so quiet.
What a car, I love it to pieces and so does my wife and two daughters. In fact it's now taken the glory from the BMW M3 Coupe !!!
And to top it all off, it all appears to be working so far and looks brilliantly put togeather.
One happy customer (touch wood and fingers crossed).
Best regards,
Rich Slaney.

sounds very much like mine
Didn't have the privacy glass though, also went for the manual option on the gearbox
Had mine nearly 3 weeks now and I still think it's a brilliant bit of engineering! I agree, it's got an amazing amount of power - even flooring the go pedal in 12th

Sounds lovely- and about double the cost of my 'base' model. I'll look out for it around Sheffield, and if you ever find someone peering closely through the windows to see all the fancy toys, then it'll probably be me! Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles

Sounds like you need it chipped - about the only extra I can think of that you haven't got - until the G4 pack comes out Great news that you're enjoying it, I've had mine since January 17500 miles and I still smile! DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

just read teh open letter from BN to "da management" and whilst i have to agree withit in respect of my first TDV6 HSE (05) my replacement (thanks Land Rover) an 06 TDV6 HSE with all the toys is faultless (fingers crossed). i read the site daily and can recognise numerous common issues that i suffered with historically, seems that 06 models and assosciated software improvements reflect the feed back from this and other enthusiast's sites. keep up the pressure! Lets hope "Da management" have made all the fixes retrospective. I have no problems now, but its in the back of my mind that my car is one of the first, and therefore always vulnerable.

BN me thinks you are well known by my local dealer...peterborough ??? maybe i got great treatment thanks to your custonmer feedback
my 05 reject is being "reapaired" and will go on the used car lot. all repairs recovereable from LR but not the labour...must cost the dealer a packet. you would think it was in their interest to beat LR up on our behalf. TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue and still smiling

Best of luck. It is shame it has to be my dealer and they are good aren't they. It looks as if I may be forced to follow you now, which really annoys me as it is not the dealers fault.

In light of whats being said about Peterborough LR why don't we have an area where we can praise the dealership for their fantastic CS etc...in other words focus on the positive ones as a way of encouraging the not so good ones. Word will eventually get round to all dealers about this site I'm sure 2004 Discovery 3 - gone
