Tina Turner and Kwik-Fit
Well, steamy windows anyway...
Realised the A/C had given up the ghost and booked in a for a regas at the local KakFoot, as it’s just a plug and play fix right?
Got the call after an hour that there was ‘no gas in the system and that there was a leak somewhere’ so come and collect and we’ll refund the £40 to you.
On arrival the cheeky chappy (‘Technician’) said I had to go to Birmingham to visit a specialist, or Main Dealer as the Bumper, Undertray and all sorts would have to come off to trace the leak🙄
‘Oh and by the way you have a bad exhaust leak as there are fumes under the car by the front suspension - FBH is your source matey, ‘what’s that?’ he said - worked on loads and never heard of it.....’
Oh how I smiled....
Anyway, money refunded and a couple of hours free parking while shopping.
Now for a decent AC diagnostic chap in Warwick area.....

I had a similar thing in my d2 the Kwik fit person said I had to go and see a specialist as the air con was knackered. I got home with the air con on blowing cold ish air. Checked the fan and it had seized. Changed it and the fuse and back to a fridge in the car. Me thinks some of these garages are telling lies and sending people to other places for a commission. If they train their staff properly to do a job then repeat visits by a customer would be bad
Just my thought anyway
