Adaptive Xenons - What's the Deal?

Does anyone know for sure if you can fit adaptive Xenon units to a GS car with Halogens? I know the adaptive cornering bits won't work as they need an ECU etc but will the lights work as non-adaptive? I am watching 2 sets on eBay but think they are adaptive and don't want to buy them if they don't work.

A few questions answered there Andy. The cornering bits might work via the same ECU as the xenon bits ? if that makes sense ?

Doesn't answer the question really, I know the non-adaptive type work fine as i have fitted them before but they seem like gold dust to get hold of. Not worried about the adaptive lamps operating as long as the main Xenon units still work. Anyone know for sure please?

I emailed the seller and asked her to look at the Part Number on the units.
