Selling Discovery 3 HSE. I’ve owned the car for almost 5 years in which time it has benefited from;
A BAS remap.
A gearbox flush.
A new compressor.
Silicone intercooler hoses.
The wishbone arms have been replaced.
New discs and pads (front at 172k and rear at 179k).
The A/C has been regassed and runs cold.
It has had the MY08 Sat Nav, Dash Clock software update .
EGR blanking kit fitted.
Two keys.
Two new Scorpion tyres.
Just passed the MOT with a new windscreen and new tyres on the front. Last serviced at 179K
Since I posted the ad last week old faithful has obviously taken umbrage at the thought of being sold and has started playing up! It is putting out a fuel pressure code and on further inspection looks to be injector number 2. It still drives well, the problem is a random 'blip', car goes into limp home mode but a simple off and on again cures it. Did it once on a daily commute last week, then several times the next day and then nothing for a few days now.
Just bought a car to replace this one so not too keen on spending money at the garage to repair. The good news is that Injector number 2 is at the front of the engine and easier / quicker to replace than others. I figure about £300 - £350 for the parts and £100 for labour should see it sorted but I'm dropping the price as I'm keen to sell.
I have receipts for virtually all of the work that I’ve carried out on the car in the past 5 years, nothing from the previous owner but not so relevant now.
By no means is this a perfect example but it is good, solid and original. It has some small cosmetic issues that just require some time and TLC. (It needs a new spare wheel winch after a bout of over zealous cranking by an over enthusiastic tyre fitter! There is a used one currently for sale on eBay for £30 and a new updated version at £42. One of the front fog lenses is cracked as well, but the light still works.)
This original car would make an excellent project for someone to turn into something special, I still think that this colour is one of the best for a D3. They look stunning with a full expedition rack and wheels set up, maybe like Gary Elliot at Prestige Cars did with an older Tonga Green D3. If you search the forum for Tonga Green there are some great photos.
The car is in Mid Devon but does travel up and down the M5 / M4 so could be viewed along the way somewhere.Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?

Yes, higher bracket for the tax and the belts were changed at 98k. Not sure when the second belt change is due, 210k?

I’m assuming that since it’s done around 13,000 miles since it’s last mot that it’s in regular use and running well?
Is the bodywork fairly straight please? Difficult to tell from pics on a dark car.Discovery 3 tdv6 HSE 2007

Price Dropped - Now only £3,200
I've dropped the price on this now as I need to sell the car and I really don't want to have to hand over the keys to WeBuyAny... as lovely as Philip Schofield is! Rather it went to a good home and a forum member!Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?
