D3/D4 rear light

I understand that there is a simple modification in order to fool the 4 rear lights into thinking they are in a 4 not a 3 or vice versa. E bay has a couple of people selling what amounts to a kit- page of instructions and two ballast resistors to allow this figment. Both are roughly a tenner. Is this about the price I should pay? I’m not even sure where to buy a ballast resistor or even what values they should be so a tenner sounds ok ?

I used this on a pair of Disco 4 lights in my Disco 3, worked perfectly,

I made up a mini loom though - just in case Smile but all is good.
