Maybe he’s just been lucky with it but with the off roading he intends doing it could all change

Had a phone call today from the dealership my car requires a double transfer box flush out and recalibrating your extended warranty doesn’t cover this , my reply was I bring my car in for a service you changed the oil in the transfer box and then it’s got a fault get it repaired at your cost as I am not paying for your incompetence, time to find a new dealership,

Not heard of a transfer box flush before, as for calibrating the tfer box its literally a few minutes work with a diag tool.
Try a search as I think it can be done without any diagnostic tools?

As you have extended warranty, I find it really depressing that LR are taking this line again. Let us know how you get on with getting someone to take responsibility, good luck. d4 HSE

Just for future reference.. if you get a problem like that again, pull over and call LRA and say it’s not drivable as Its knocking. If it goes through LRA the HAVE TO provide a hirecar of the same make (not model)..
The LRA guy made me aware of this last year and I used it a couple of times when my inlet manifold went then had a major fuel leak (twice) after the repair suprise suprise from the injector pipes by the manifold... Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black
Disco4 MY12 SDV6 XS Orkney Grey (Gone)
Defender 90 200tdi Completely rebuilt.

Extended warranty was told by me that the dealership it up , and the reason being they service my car changed the transfer box oil and tell me it needs booking back in for a oil leak on the transfer box , I must be stupid because why on earth would you change the oil on a leaking box before repairing the leak ? Dealership answer it came in for a service, will update but it is also in the hands of Landrover customer services who also couldn’t believe Why I am going through this
