Picked up my 2006 LR3 yesterday. Everything seemed to be ok, just a minor niggle with PDC which was probably user error.
This morning, I go to move the car and I get a suspension fault light come on.
HDC FAULT SYSTEM NOT AVAILABLE
I fear I am now left with a very expensive fault and can't drive the car
I feel sick. Was so excited yesterday

Any recourse on the vendor?
If not possibly a sob-story seeking a contribution?
Good luck - keep us posted.

Feel for you! Did you give it a good drive yesterday? If not, could just be a low battery if it’s been sitting on a forecourt. If it’s come from a garage they should check it out for you anyway. Good luck!

Could be caused by low battery on initial start up.

I did about 80km in it yesterday. was great. Suspension was working as I played around with the different heights & settings
I fear the codes might have been cleared from the ECU and so only reappeared after taking it for a good run

If the battery is low the temperature will certainly contribute. I had the suspension fault bong come on last year in -28C or so driving ~100 km/h but it cleared with a restart and hasn’t come back since. I followed it closely for a few weeks but then put it on the temperature’s account.
Anyway, if you bought it from a dealer I assume that even in Canada there are some kind of consumer protection laws.

11.89 on the battery - that could be it.
Will look at getting it replaced this morning

Do you have a code reader or are you relying on the dashboard display only? I would kindly suggest that you’d look into getting one of the former if you intend to keep the LR3 around for a longer period.

ordered a fault reader yesterday
Panic over (I hope) the drive to the auto store and back to get a new AGM battery had charged the old battery enough to clear the error on start up now.
I'll just check the new one is fully charged then swap them out.
Thanks for all the advice
