How long before the end of your warranty can you apply to extend it? Obviously the earlier the better mileage wise but when do you have to pay and do they make an assumption on what your mileage will be when the warranty becomes effective?

I did about 2 months before and it only asks for current mileage. I think i started paying the month it started Joined the BMWX5 45e group
