Iām after a bit of advice. I have identified a leak from the compressor dryer cap. My question is this, when I disconnect the compressor hoses will the vehicle drop to its stops?

I dont believe so
you can remove the dryer end cap in situ and either glue the offending crack usually between the 2 air connectors or replace the cap

The air springs should not discharge because the valves in the front and rear valve blocks are closed at rest.
I am sure though, that it would always be recommended to put the car onto stands when working underneath and also remove fuse 26 or disconnect the battery. Kev

If you wanted you can remove the compressor completely and if you have no leaks it will stay up .

Hi all
Just a quick add on question...
I tried removing mine yesterday as I'm getting a full refurb done but the two larger black airlines are stuck in and I can't get them out without cutting
Would it be OK to cut them flush near the connectors (refurb getting new connectors) and simply reinsert the fresh (slightly shorter) ends when refitting?
Many thanks in advance!

There is a kit you need to purchase that allows for pipes that are cut off.
