Fuse 40
Hi all, I see a few posts on deleting the very annoying key in chime, with no real answer. I just wondered, has anyone pulled fuse 40 in the passenger compartment fuse box?

You figure after 20 years of people trying to figure out how to silence the chime, someone would have pulled the fuse and gone "yeah, that's not gonna work".

I thought the way to silence it was to upgrade the IPU firware (well update firmware somewhere)
and then change the CCF key chime option to off

It's never bothered me enough to really try. If there's a hard and fast method I might give it a go, but I'm not fiddling with the CCF unless it's a guarantee.
I only pulled Fuse 40 to see what it would do. Forums are full of "have you tried this", rather than "I tried this and it didn't work". I've actually tapped fuse 40 for my GVIF so it starts to boot as soon as I put the key in, so by the time I select reverse it's all fired up.
