Fiennes: Return to the Nile
Anybody else watched/watching on Nat Geo?
Some great Land Rover content. Probably could of done with a better held on roof rack on the Disco5!!D4 MY15 (64) SE Tech, Loire Blue

In about 1980, Sir R T-W-F gave a talk to my geography class at school. A really interesting and inspiring presentation from a true hero (and a relief from films about grain harvests in the American mid-west). Things he talked about then still stick in my mind. I can't remember which, but one of the posh squares in London is named after his family.
(How was that arranged? His mother went to the same WI as my Gran!)

@HWN I bet he has some great stories to tell!
It wasn’t the best advert for a Disco 5, it got stuck in the sand and the roof rack fell off but in its defence it was poorly equipped with road tyres and a rack that clamped to the rails, but mostly it was ‘operator error’... D4 MY15 (64) SE Tech, Loire Blue

Really enjoyed that! Some great old footage and I wouldn’t crawl into that tomb! (Correction- I wouldn’t fit in that tomb!)
D5 held its own I thought, just the soft nut behind the wheel that failed!
