2007 D3 Suspension failed
Hello all,
I'm looking for some advice please. Had normal height only for a while then rear suspension only, now it's failed. I live fairly remotely (North Uist) so not a lot of repair options.
After a bit of research - checked under front wheel arch to see if valve was blocked with dessicant but seems clean. There's not a great deal of air pressure when you take the pipe off the compressor.
I managed to get some fault codes from a friends laptop:
C1A20 - pressure increasing too slowly.
C1A00 - intermittent control module fault.
Does this sound like a faulty compressor?
. . . Thanks

Same codes as me. New (AMK) compressor fixed it!

You shouldn't be finding desiccant anywhere in the system other than at the chamber in the compressor!
Do you know which make of compressor you have? Its either a Hitachi or AMK unless it has already been changed for an aftermarket make (Dunlop et al) If its a Hitachi you can buy new desiccant and filters as well as the chamber and cover which tends to crack between the pipe fittings. Piston parts are also available for this model. The AMK type does not have much parts available, but you can replace the desiccant and filters with the same used in the Hitachi!!. Other than that I have only ever found the seal under the valve cover plate to perish causing pressure loss. This is easily repaired using a small amount of good quality silicone.
Generally, a compressor can be rejuvenated and its worth a go for very small money, if the motor side is still good!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
