Looking at the diagram, I would disconnect the C0580 and C0586 connector from the CJB and disconnect the light control switch connector C0041 and test pin 3 to earth.
If no short present, you’ll have to disconnect the clock, start switch, interior lamps, heated seat switches front and rear, cig lighter, park break, console switch pack, gearbox indicator and gearshift mechanism and retest pin 1 at the light switch.
There’s probably other ways professionals do it but without there kit I wouldn’t know how. 012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

Had a look under the centre console round the gear lever, can see the wire to the various bits, no sign of an obvious short. Could it potentially be one of the components that's supposed to illuminate?
Cheers for the help. The Internet is great 🤣
Could be the light switch causing an internal short but haven’t you changed that? 012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

im having a instrument cluster mishapp. intermittent no start issues. slap the dash power is on and i can start. while driving ac drops out then, "system fault shutting down" is displayed on radio and center console goes out, as well as, ext temp.
even though the center console is out and there is no emergency flasher notice, or turn signal lights in the instrument cluster. these systems still work. no faults being displayed in info messaging. slap the dash all returns then shuts off promptly again
iv traced the wires via the diagrams and sj117 are the common connections, everything else on this connection works
does anyone have any ideas to this fix. what does sj mean and where would sj117 located
i would think it was a loose connection but cannot slap the dash to cause this fault. maybe a heating issue but this happens sometimes first in the morning when temps are lower. no rain is in the car. all the ground ive inspected seem to be clean and in good condition.
im looking to send the cluster in for repair, but would like to maybe fix myself for fun

Digging up an old thread as I’m trying to solve the same issue.
Did you end up locating the short?
