OK, just had the earth connectors off, it looked a bit dodgy so I've cleaned it up and reattached them. No different. But while I was down there I did find one of the springs had come off the folding mechanism under the back seat, so not a complete loss!
Keep the suggestions coming folks 👍
Cheers!

That’s a shame , We’re both sides ok as I see they are on both LH and RH of the B posts where the earth points are
Suppose to save u time can also do a continuity test from the earth points at the B posts to the earths at the switches to ensure there’s no breaks to the connectors inbetween

Yeah, I went back out and checked the other side, same result. Only I found a quid and two Hot Wheels cars this time so I'm already winning 😂
Will check for continuity when I get more time. Still seems odd though that there's no voltage on the red/brown wire, tested to different earth points.
Apparently there's a little LED in the interior light unit that I didn't know was there. That little should work too!
Balls.

That’s rare for a disco to give back
Quick recap if I may plse So the items that don’t light up are
1) selector doesn't light up (apart from the current gear)
2) terrain response
3)suspension height buttons (again apart from the amber lights for the current selection)
4)clock the start button
5)headlamp switch
Also about this FET module, will ave to see what that is, as if I’ve read it right u haven’t got power out that goes onto the leds that should but don’t light up
Me being sad quite enjoy going through wiring and see if I can find anything that may be of use to u

Have u got to the SJ117 connector yet , will double check ur previous posts just in case u have , noted it here so can try and keep a track of that number
As that junction seems to be the key one, other items I assume work , ie interior light that’s shown that comes off down stream of the SJ117 connector
Apologises if you’ve already got to that stage , trying to catch up

Have circled the connectors , have u got power at them plse
At the BCM with the battery disconnected , can u access them so can do a continuity test out of the bcm as part of the loops and go from connector to connector

The bits that don't light up are:
Headlight switch
Start/stop button
Clock
Terrain response (except current mode - orange)
Both cigar lighters
Gear selector (except current gear)
And apparently the little LED hidden up in the centre interior light.
I do quite a bit of electrical fault finding at work, but once you get into electronics I get a bit lost. Have a basic understanding of PCB components but no idea how to test stuff. Particularly sensitive JLR electronics 😂
According to the diagram all the above get their illumination feed off one 0.5mm red wire with a brown trace. BN on the diagram. There's a green multiway connector behind the plastic shroud in the passenger footwell where the bonnet release lever is. I can test there and get no voltage. Obviously its DC. Check to multiple earth points. I can trace the wire back up to the rear of the BCM where it terminates in a brown plug pushed into the BCM. I can't check for voltage there, but I have checked the continuity of the harness from the BCM plug. It's all fine.Jaguar Land Rover: "Building great cars, badly."

And also nothing after the BCM works, there are two LEDs in the roof, front and rear that don't work. Don't have a sunroof.Jaguar Land Rover: "Building great cars, badly."

Thks, if I may , will post a pic here so can use the pic as a reference if what’s not working

Gear selector (except current gear)
And apparently the little LED hidden up in the centre interior light.

Many thks , understand where ur coming from and know it can be a nightmare tracing electrical faults,
Alas with it not working since u had it, I don’t know if a faulty BCM could cause just an illumination fault without causing issues elsewhere
Will see if I can find any further info that may help

Gotcha
What’s the FET plse, alas unsure if the power comes out of the FET or BCM

FET is Field Effect Transistor. No idea. Also wherever it is it's hidden inside the BCM housing. Think the power comes off the BCM and is switched (presumably) by the FET
Could it feasibly all be the Ambient Lighting setting in the CCF? I mean, it's supposed to be on all the time, and I'd definitely call the lights in the roof ambient lighting. The footwell lights etc aren't really ambient lighting are they?Jaguar Land Rover: "Building great cars, badly."
